Grace Odogbili - Dining With Grace

Grace Odogbili is Owner and Executive Chef of Dining With Grace, a Brooklyn-based boutique off-premise Catering and Culinary Consulting company specializing in African-inspired and eclectic fine foods. Begun by owner in late 2009, Dining With Grace was inspired by her passion for bold flavors, her African heritage and culture, fine cuisine and the celebration of life. At Dining With Grace, we focus on fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and excellent service. Dining With Grace provides full-scale catering services to cultural institutions, social & community organizations, churches, non-profits, small businesses, corporations, retail locations and individuals seeking excellence in cultural cuisine. We also consult with several Brooklyn public schools teaching young students Nutritional Culinary Arts, customizing fun, healthy (and yummy!) recipes incorporating seasonal fruits and vegetables and whole grains. Our mission is to provide a delicious experience to our clients and to always offer our best to our community. Grace Odogbili was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Nigerian parents, Chris and Mary Odogbili. The youngest of 3 siblings, Grace grew up with entrepreneurship in her bones. From the time she was 8 years old, the Odogbili family has been in business for themselves, making it truly a family affair. Seeing the success story of her family who literally started off selling Bibles on the street into owning several commercial and residential properties always instilled in her the knowledge that passion, the desire to do the right thing and hard work always pays off. Ms. Odogbili received her BA degree from Stony Brook University in 2004 in Economics and Political Science, with the purpose of pursuing law school. During her senior year in college a turn in events led her to pursue a finance based career instead. After a series of jobs in the industry including UBS and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Grace landed a role at Banc of America Securities, LLC. in Sales and Trading Operations and there she begun to develop her career. After 4 years within the role, in 2009 due to the decline of the finance industry and a high profile acquisition, Grace’s team was dismembered and she was laid off. To her surprise, after a brief shock came a sense of relief and purpose. She decided at that point to pursue her dream of entrepreneurism in the culinary field and do what she’s been envisioning since her youth. Grace is now establishing her brand in the culinary world Dining With Grace. Currently a member of the Black Culinary Alliance and the National Association of Catering Executives, Chef Grace has been trained at the French Culinary Institute and is further pursuing her Masters Degree in Hospitality Management at the City College of Technology. Her goal is to continue to build an exclusive culinary brand, branching into the restaurant industry and pursuing future involvement in urban agriculture and a Healthy Culinary Academy program for inner-city children. Most importantly, Ms. Odogbili is excited about the opportunity to give back to her community. She thanks God for being the best Partner, her family for unconditional support, and all those who have allowed and encouraged her to pursue her dreams. With God Nothing is Impossible.
